Salvation Army officers and personnel who have been promoted to glory:


Major Lyn Day was promoted to glory on Thursday 23 June 2022 aged 75 years. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are extended to her husband Major Denis and her sister Major Dorothy Woodbury and the extended family.


Major Leona Scholz was promoted to glory on Sunday 19 June 2022 aged 85 years. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are extended to Leona’s sister, Commissioner Coral Strong and family.


Lieut-Colonel Edward Dawkins was promoted to glory on Sunday 12 June 2022 aged 90 years. Please pray for his wife Lieut. Colonel Desley, along with Wendy and Keith, Narelle, Stevan and Vickie and their families.


Auxiliary-Captain Roy Tabrett was promoted to glory on 24 May 2022, aged 89 years. Please pray for his wife, Judy and his children Lesley, Martin, Elizabeth, Alison, Andrew and their families.


Major Berynice Ford was promoted to glory on Saturday 30 April 2022, aged 94 years. Our love, sympathy and prayers are extended to Major Alf, her daughter Delece, her son Lester, and his sons Clinton, Stuart and Kristan, and their families.


Major Christine Dickson was promoted to glory on Sunday 17 April 2022, aged 60 years. Our love, sympathy and prayers are extended to Major Neil, Curtis and David, Elyse and Andy, Christine’s parents - Edward and Val McNeill, and their extended family and friends. We grieve her earthly passing but celebrate in her joyous reunion with her Lord and Saviour. Well done, good and faithful servant!


Captain Valerie King was promoted to glory on Monday 18 April 2022, aged 86 years. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy covers and surrounds her husband Colin, her cousins Major Joyce Harmer, Major Daphne Cox, Keith Lipke, Joan Hilton and Yvonne King and their families.


Major Gladys Corlass was promoted to glory on Monday 18 April 2022, aged 92 years. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy covers and surrounds Gladys' children: John Corlass (deceased) and Wendy Kennedy, Graham Corlass, Heather Rye, Ian Corlass and Ann Reed and their families.


Captain Heather Johnson was promoted to glory on Thursday 7 April, aged 89 years. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy surround David, Betty-Joy, Lynette and their families.


Major Helen Steer was promoted to glory on Saturday 26 February, aged 74 years. Please keep Major Barry, daughter Auxiliary Lieutenant Catherine Philpot and David, son Andrew and Melinda, their families and extended family in your thoughts and prayers at this tender time.


Major Mavis McPherson was promoted to glory on Friday 18 February, aged 91 years. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy cover and surrounds her niece Glenda, nephew Craig and their families.


Major Frits Janssen was promoted to glory on Sunday 30 January aged 69 years. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy surround David and Rebecca, and Phillip and their families (including their grandchildren Thomas and Evelyn).


Lieut-Colonel Bram Hindle was promoted to glory on Saturday 15 January aged 83. Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy cover Lieut-Colonel Judy, Tony and Kerrie, Cathy and Darryl, Darren and Sarah, grandchildren Gabrielle, Josephine, Harry, Oscar, Felix and Solomon as well as the wider family. Bram was twin brother to Major Stan (deceased) and brother to Jean, Roma and Peter.


Captain Vivien Moody was promoted to glory on Saturday 15 January aged 82 years. Captain Vivien was mother to sons Martyn, Kevin, Nigel and Darren Scrimshaw and daughter Major Karen Armstrong. Heartfelt sympathy, love and prayer is extended to Major Brian Moody and all the family at this tender time.


Colonel Keith Parkinson was promoted to glory on Wednesday 19 January aged 90 years. Our prayers and heartfelt sympathies are extended to son Howard and daughter Meredith and their families.
