From Child Sponsorship to Independent Business: Beverly’s Story

Thank you to everyone who generously supported the 2004 Self Denial Appeal.

In this video, Beverly shares how The Salvation Army transitioned her family from child sponsorship to the independent living SiKAP program. The program provided training and tools for the family to start their own poultry farm. Today, they have a thriving business of over 30 chickens, selling eggs and producing their own food. She says, “We have been good stewards of what God has provided and our business is progressing well. We are very thankful for the program. It is a gift from God.”
