Thesis: Challenging history and telling her story: an interdisciplinary exploration of the intersection of claims for equality and women’s lived experience of officership in The Salvation Army in Australia.

Abstract: The Salvation Army’s claim to equality for women and men in ministry is contradicted by women’s lived experience of officership. This thesis examines the many facets of this false narrative. It challenges dominant historical perspectives, amplifies the testimony of contemporary Australian women officers, and offers a constructive theological response.
