A place for everyone: Balga Corps

Everyone is welcome at The Salvation Army in Balga (Perth, WA). The corps aims to share Jesus with its community through various mission expressions: the cafe provides free coffee and a listening year, the Early Years Services runs pregnancy groups, playgroups and an early learning centre for children, and the Meals and Message ministry offers a meal and a Christian message on Thursday nights.

Major Ken Smith says it is “not the transactional stuff that really counts ... but the relationship(s).” These ongoing relationships often prompt the bigger questions about Jesus and why Christians do what they do in response to God’s love.
