Beyond the Wire

Beyond the Wire is a holistic case management program that supports men and women in pre- and post-release incarceration. “The true underlying purpose of the program is to change lives. Helping people reconnect with society, acknowledging them as human beings with the right to walk the street and have a happy life, the same as everyone else” (John Stubley).

In this short documentary, John Stubley (State Development Manager, Salvation Army Homelessness Tasmania), Ian Wilkinson (Case Manager for The Salvation Army) and Alesha share their unique perspectives on what the program looks like, how it is journeying with people in real and honest ways and how it is providing a safe and permanent address for people to call home.
