The Australasian Journal of Salvation Army History and The Salvation Army Historical Society - Brisbane Chapter have put out a call for papers for The Salvation Army History Symposium 2026.

The theme for the upcoming symposium will be ‘History: A Narrative of Many Lives’.

The theme originates from a paper written in 1868 by Edward A. Pollard, where Pollard wrote in part that “History is profoundly and logically nothing more than a collection of biographies, a narrative of many lives.”

Presentations will be 30 minutes in length, and can constitute a verbal reading of a research paper, a poster presentation, multimedia presentation, a paper intended to raise questions, or an historical narrative or biography.

Questions and submissions can be directed to Garth Hentzschel at ajsahistory@gmail.com.
