“People around town know where the Salvos are,” says Captain Andrea Wayman, Corps Officer at The Salvation Army Dubbo (Central West NSW). Every Wednesday afternoon, primary and high school-aged kids come together for the Orana Kids and Youth program. They come from a variety of backgrounds – some through the church, others through the Salvo Connect program – many from difficult family backgrounds.
With many needs within the community, the program focuses on creating stability, teaching leadership skills, and building genuine friendships through games, activities, and Bible sessions.
