One of the things that unites Salvationists worldwide is a love of brass banding. And the podcast ‘Fully Scored’, hosted by Matthew Frost and produced by The Salvation Army Musical Editorial Department in the UK, is a Salvationist’s dream.

Each episode deep-dives into the creation of a musical arrangement and features interviews with musicians of all ages and acclaim across the globe. This means that in one episode, you hear from Derick Kane, and in another, you hear from Salvo and contemporary musician Charlie Green, who came to fame through reality TV. Add some banding trivia that listeners from around the globe can participate in, and this is a glorious, niche and brassy podcast that is a must-listen.

Each episode runs for about an hour and is divided into different segments, making it easy to flick on and off as you travel or go about your day. And the hosting by Frost is top-notch, not just delivering on passion and knowledge about Salvation Army music and history but disarming listeners with wit, humour and ease.

If you’re a Salvation Army music nerd or simply love brass banding, ‘Fully Scored’ is for you. And with more than 30 episodes available for free and ready to stream into your earbuds, this will keep you going all month long.

‘Fully Scored’ is available now on Spotify, Apple Podcast and Google Play. Find out more here.
