Each week through 2026, Salvationists around the world are uniting in prayer for the same territory or region of The Salvation Army. Prayer requests are shared by the territory/region to help us pray with precision and power for one another.

This week (21-28 September) we pray for The India South Western Territory. This territory consists of one Indian state – Kerala.

This territory has 595 officers (256 active, 339 retired); 10 Aux-Captains; 13 Envoys; 2 cadets; 318 corps; 12 outposts and societies; 27,065 senior soldiers; 3259 adherents; 2028 junior soldiers; 91 employees.

Colonels Prakash Chandra Pradhan and Raniphula Pradhan lead the territory.

The work of the India South Western Territory includes:

· Hospitals and health centres

· Education

· Youth work

· Modern slavery and human trafficking response.

Prayer requests:

Pray for the territory’s mission sustainability plan:
- for soil-selling to generate revenue
- for resource mobilisation for missional purposes
- for institutions to be re-purposed
- for the mission support fund appeal
- for renting and leasing empty land and buildings.
Pray for the Prayer Coordination Committee:
- for drafting the Manual of Operation
- to maintain a spiritual relationship with Salvationists and friends
- to sustain the spirit of The Salvation Army in territorial activities
- for working to form Prayer Coordination Committees at divisional and corps levels
- to re-start the prison ministry.
Pray for the candidates department as it seeks more applicants, and for the seven prospective candidates.
Pray for the centenary programme of War Cry magazine and for the completion of 100 years of publication.
Pray for the training college, for the two cadets and four staff members.
Pray for the wellness of active and retired officers and employees.
Pray for the Junior Home League rallies starting in September and for all the Junior Home League members.
