Young people in Sydney who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness will soon have access to safe, stable accommodation and wraparound support through Haven House, a new transitional housing development in Surry Hills.

The project, delivered through a partnership between Salvation Army Housing, The Salvation Army Youth Stream, the Property Industry Foundation, Housing Australia, the City of Sydney and other supporters, will provide 10 apartments and 19 much-needed beds for young people aged 16-24.

Salvation Army Housing and The Salvation Army joined project partners and government representatives to mark the announcement of the upcoming development, which will help address Sydney’s growing need for youth housing.

The Salvation Army’s Youth Services teams will provide integrated case management and wraparound support for residents for up to three years, helping young people build stability, develop life skills and work towards long-term independence.

Salvation Army Housing will provide property and tenancy management, ensuring residents have a safe, secure place to call home.
