The Salvation Army in Western Australia is about to celebrate a significant milestone, with the 50th Perth Bikers Charity Ride scheduled for Sunday 6 December.

As the oldest and longest-running motorcycle ride for charity in Australia, the event has raised millions of dollars in cash donations, as well as toys and food for families facing a difficult Christmas.

The event includes face painting, food trucks and entertainment. To find out more, see the event page here.

On the theme of bikes, the Entrepreneurial Business School (EBS) in Perth recently donated 13 brand-new children’s bicycles to The Salvation Army.

Major Aaron Stobie and Cadet Chantal Tait from Perth Fortress were invited to attend an EBS seminar, where participants assembled the bikes.

Aaron spoke about the work of The Salvation Army, and thanked EBS Co-Founder and CEO Bruce Campbell for the company’s incredible generosity and support of the Salvos. Through their work in Queensland and now in Perth, the group has donated about 400 bikes to The Salvation Army.

“We are incredibly grateful for your support, generosity and the opportunity to partner together in this meaningful way. Thank you, EBS, for helping bring joy to children and for making a difference in our community,” Aaron said.

The Salvation Army was a proud beneficiary of the 2026 West Australian Telethon, which aired on 17 and 18 October 2026.

This year’s Telethon featured Jessica Mauboy, Morgan Evans, Kate Miller-Heidke, Rogue Traders and The Ten Tenors, among others.

The Telethon runs continuously for 26 hours, featuring musical acts and entertainment streamed from RAC Arena.

This year, the Telethon garnered a record $101,277,705 in donations to support communities facing challenges across the state of WA.

The event, which premiered in 1968, now raises funds for 161 charities and community organisations in Western Australia.
